SEPTEMBER 2025
1 Sep – the male arrives at 5:45, goes into the box for five minutes and tends both scrapes, then sits on the ledge. He moves back to the box at 7:00 for another five minutes and again at 8:25 to tend the scrapes. The female arrives at 9:40 and the pair go into the box for a brief bonding session. The male is soon back on the ledge until returning to the box at 11:20 for five minutes. He then flies off at 11:40 but the female remains in the box until leaving at 13:50. The male returns at 19:20 for an hour.
2 Sep – the male arrives at 3:55 for 15 minutes and a brief appearance at 6:15. He is back at 12:20 and goes into the box for a few moments, then flies off. He returns for five minutes at 15:15. He quickly returns and goes into the box and tends the scrapes, then moves to the ledge. He is joined in the box by the female at 16:10. He leaves after five minutes bonding, and she follows ten minutes later after tending the scrape. He flies in again at 17:40 but leaves after five minutes. He lands on the ledge at 19:25 until 20:05.
3 Sep – the male lands at 3:35 and falls asleep until leaving at 6:15. He returns at 11:00 and sits on the ledge until 14:05. The female flies in at 23:10 with fresh Feral Pigeon prey which she stashes by a column, then sits on the ledge until midnight.
4 Sep – the female remains on the ledge with a full crop until she goes into the box at 5:35 on the arrival of the male. She protects her stashed meal, and he flies off. She follows at 5:50. The male is back at 8:10, tends to the scrapes in the box then sits on the ledge until leaving at 8:25. The pair return to the box at 12:05 for a short bonding session. The male flies out at 12:15 whilst the female tends the scrapes and remains in the box until 14:15. The male returns at 17:20, checks the box then sits on the ledge until 18:50.
5 Sep – the male arrives at 9:55 and sits on the ledge until 10:15 when he moves into the box and scrapes the stones. He is back on the ledge at 10:40 and remains until 13:20 when he flies off. He is back very briefly at 16:40.
6 Sep – the male arrives at 6:00 and flies out at 6:25. The female lands briefly at 6:45. She is back in the box at 9:35 and tends the scrapes for ten minutes. The male lands on the ledge at 9:55 for five minutes. The pair fly in at 16:50 and spend five minutes bonding before the male moves to the ledge and flies off at 17:00. The female tends to the scrapes then follows five minutes later.
7 Sep – the male arrives at 5:50 until 6:30. He is back two hours later looking well fed and goes into the box to tend the scrape, then sits on the ledge. The female joins him at 8:35 but she quickly flies off; he returns to the ledge. He flies off at 10:25 but is back at 11:15 and goes into the box tending the scrapes, before moving to the ledge. He leaves at 12:35 and returns at 17:00 for 25 minutes. He is back again at 19:40 and sits on the ledge with a full crop until 20:05.
8 Sep – the male lands at 8:55 and remains on the ledge until 10:45. He is back for a few minutes at 11:40. He at 12:05 and flies off at 12:45. The female flies in five minutes later with very fresh Feral Pigeon prey and takes it into the box to pluck and feed. The male soon arrives and sits on the ledge watching. He tries to snatch a morsel at 15:10 but the female mantles her meal. He tries again at 15:35 but quickly returns to the ledge. The female flies off at 16:00 and the male has the opportunity to feed on the scraps. He is back on the ledge 15 minutes later and flies off at 18:05. The female returns briefly with a full crop at 18:45.
9 Sep – WATCH DAY – the pair fly into the box at 6:40. The male quickly leaves but the female moves to the ledge at 7:00, then flies off. When we arrive for the Watch Day at 9:30, both adults are on the north side of the spire; the female is sitting on a cross whilst the male sits snuggly in one of the circular windows – a favourite position for him. The female flies into the box at 10:30 but the male remains in the window until he lands briefly on the ledge at 11:30, calls to the female, then flies off east. The female tends to the scrapes, then leaves at 13:00. The male returns at 14:40, also checks the scrapes in the box, then sits on the ledge until he flies off at 16:35.

10 Sep – the male flies into the box at 13:30 and tends to the scrapes, then moves to the ledge ten minutes later. The female arrives at 14:00 and they go into the box for a 15-minute bonding session. The male then moves to the ledge and flies off whilst the female remains in the box, tends the scrapes, preens and dozes. She moves to the ledge at 15:10 and flies off five minutes later.
11 Sep – the male lands at 3:15 and falls asleep on the ledge and flies off at 6:25. He is back at 9:40 with a full crop and goes into the box, then moves to the ledge. The female joins him at 9:55 and they go into the box. He flies out at 10:05 whilst she remains preening and dozing until flying out at 13:55. The male returns at 18:35 and goes into the box for ten minutes, then moves to the ledge and leaves at 19:25.
