WALK

Birding The Leicestershire Round Walk

Sue and I will be walking the 100-mile-long Leicestershire Round in ten stages between March and the end of April to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Leicestershire & Rutland Ornithological Society (LROS). We are seeking sponsorship and donations, the proceeds from which will go to LROS conservation projects such as as the Peregrine Project cameras, static sound recorders, thermal imaging equipment (to monitor night-time bird activity), replacing/repairing tern rafts, etc.

Anyone is welcome to join us at any point on the Round, to accompany us for a few miles, for refreshments at one of the hostelries en route, or just to meet up and say Hello. We will be recording the birds seen on the walk and they will added to the LROS database. The details for each section of the Round appear below.

Thanking you, in anticipation of your kind support. Jim Graham
