JULY 2025

1 Jul  – X4F and X7F remain on the ledge from the previous evening. X7F flies out at 4:05 and is replaced by X6F five minutes later but leaves after a further five minutes and X4F leaves at 4:55. X6F and X7F return together at 5:35 but X6F flies off almost immediately and X7F a few minutes later. X7F is back briefly at 5:45. The female lands at 5:50 with very fresh Feral Pigeon prey quickly followed by X6F. She plucks the meal in the box and feeds the juvenile. X7F lands at 6:00 and snatches the meal from the female and mantles it in the box. The female grabs it back after ten minutes and X6F tries to snatch it from her. There is a tug-o-war and the adult wins. She feeds X6F until 6:30 when X7F takes his turn. X6F flies out five minutes later and X7F has finished feeding at 6:40 and flies off. The female eats the remainder of the pigeon and flies out at 7:05 with a full crop. X4F returns at 11:40 with her wings drooped, all hot and bothered, and lies in the shade. She is joined by X7F at 12:50 and they lay together. He goes into the box at 13:15 for ten minutes, then sits on the ledge. X4F looks for scraps at 15:00, then lies on the platform as X7F flies off at 15:15. X6F returns at 16:40 and X7F 15 minutes later. All three siblings go into the box looking for scraps then settle on the platform until X6F flies off at 17:10, followed by X7F. X7F quickly returns. He is off again at 18:50 as X4F remains on the platform, then searches for scraps at 19:15. X7F returns at 19:25 for ten minutes. He is back an hour later but flies off again at 20:55. X6F arrives at 21:00 and X7F 35 minutes later. They all fall asleep on the platform at 22:00.

2 Jul – X4F goes into the box at 00:30 and is joined by X7F at 00:50, whilst X6F remains on the ledge. X7F moves to the ledge at 4:50 as does X4F a few minutes later. X6F and X7F fly out together at 4:55 and X4F goes into the box for 30 minutes. The female lands with fresh Feral Pigeon prey at 5:40 and is quickly followed by the two juveniles. She drags the meal into the box and feeds all three juveniles. She flies off at 6:05 and X6F soon follows and X7F a few minutes later, whilst X4F remains on the platform. X7F is back at 8:15 and the two lay on the platform until 9:45 when X7F leaves and X4F five minutes later. Both are soon back feeding on scraps in the box. X7F flies out again at 10:35 and returns briefly at 10:45. The female lands at 11:15 carrying fresh Feral Pigeon prey but before X4F could grab the meal, X6F flies in and snatches at it from the female. She manages to keep control and feeds the two. She flies out with the remains at 11:35 and X6F leaves ten minutes later. X6F returns at 14:00 and the two settle on the platform until 17:40 when the female drops off a plucked pigeon. The two juveniles fight for the meal and eventually feed on it together. The female sits on the ledge but is knocked off by the arriving X7F. The female lands at 18:10 pursued by X7F and they go into the box. The female then sits on the ledge and X7F calls at her begging, whilst X4F runs at her and pushes her from the platform. She lands on the platform again at 19:35 but is forced off by X4F flies after her. She tries again five minutes later and at 19:55 but the two remaining juveniles do not allow her to land and X4F flies after her. X4F and X6F soon return to the platform to join X7F. The siblings huddle together for the rest of the evening.

8 Jul – WATCH DAY UPDATE – arriving at 9:30, the three juveniles were still in the box and the female was sitting on a cross with a full crop having just eaten. At 10:00, a Red Kite flew over the site but elicited no reaction from the female as it was on her blind side. The male was seen high in the sky 30 minutes later heading north in hunting mode. The male returned at 11:00 and went and sat in the cache window on the east face of the spire. At 11:20, a Buzzard was seen heading north-west and the female was calling loudly to show her presence but did not leave her position. At 11:30, one by one the juveniles left the box. First off was X6F who flew around before landing on the building that was its first fully-fledged landing on. X4F and X7F soon followed suit. X4F landed on a cross and remained there until 11:55 when it joined its siblings on the building with X4F.

9 Jul – X7F and X6F remain on the ledge with X4F in the box until they start to wake at 4:25. X7F and X6F fly out together a few moments later and X4F follows at 5:15. The adult male flies in with Feral Pigeon prey at 5:30 and is quickly followed by X4F who snatches the meal from him. The male leaves and X6F lands a few minutes later but X4F mantles the pigeon, so X6F flies off. X4F leaves with its meal at 5:35. X6F lands briefly at 5:55. The female lands with very fresh Feral Pigeon prey at 6:40 but quickly leaves. X6F and X7F land at 7:30, check the box for food then quickly fly out. X6F lands briefly at 8:45. X4F lands at 10:45 and lies on the platform and is joined by X6F at 11:40. X6F checks the box after ten minutes, then lies beside its sibling. They remain together until 14:00 when X7F flies off. X6F remains and is joined by X4F 15 minutes later. X4F flies off at 15:55 whilst X6F remains. The male lands with part-eaten Feral Pigeon prey at 16:05 and X4F grabs it. X6F lands and tries to take the meal. There is a tug-o-war until they both feed on the meal. X4F eventually gets the upper hand and X6F sits on the ledge. X6F picks at the scraps at 16:50, then flies off as X4F lies on the platform. X4F flies off at 18:50 and returns at 19:45 to lay on the platform. It is joined by X6F who picks at scraps in the box, then moves to the ledge and flies off at 20:50 returning just five minutes later. X4F flies off at 21:20 and returns a few minutes later with pigeon scraps. X7F lands a few moments later then flies off at 21:30. X6F leaves at 21:45 and X4F a few moments later. X4F returns at 22:10 and lies on the platform until 23:15, is back at 23:35, and goes into the box at 23:55.

10 Jul – X6F arrives at 3:40 until flying off at 4:20 but X4F remains in the box until 4:25 when she moves to the ledge and flies off at 4:45. X7F land briefly at 5:05 and returns five minutes later quickly followed by X6F. X4F joins them at 5:15 and goes into the box. X7F and X6F fly off together a few moments later but X4F lies on the ledge until leaving at 5:35. The three siblings quickly return. X7F flies off at 5:45 quickly followed by X6F. X4F takes a short flight at 6:05 but leaves again soon after. She is back at 6:25 and lies on the platform. Her siblings return together at 7:35 but X7F soon leaves and X6F quickly follows. X4F leaves ten minutes later. The first to return almost five hours later, is X7F at 12:25 but remains for only ten minutes. X4F is back at 13:00 and lies on the platform and is joined by X6F after ten minutes. At 15:45, the adult female tries to land with fresh Feral Pigeon prey. X6F tries to snatch it before it is secure and in the melee, X4F grabs it and flies off leaving X6F on the platform. X4F returns immediately without the meal – it must have dropped it. A few moments later X7F lands with the meal and there is a mass brawl and tug-o-war, with wings and stones going everywhere. Strangely, all three birds get to eat some of the meal. X4F and X6F drag it into the box and X7F joins them to feed. X6F sits on the ledge at 16:00 with a full crop and X4F moves to the ledge at 16:10 whilst X7F flies out with the remains ten minutes later. X4F goes into the box at 17:20. The adult male lands with fresh Starling prey at 17:45 and the two siblings tussle for it with X4F winning and taking it into the box. She drags it onto the platform at 17:55 and teases X6F whilst feeding. X6F tries to snatch it at 18:10 and eventually gets the scraps. X7F arrives at 18:15 and tries to relieve X6F of its meal. X6F flies out at 18:25 and X7F at 19:20 as X4F remains on the platform. X6F returns at 21:25, flies out at 22:00 and returns a few minutes later with X7F. They remain on the platform until 23:45 when the male lands with Blue Tit prey which X7F takes into the box to feed.

10 July 2025 – Video: the three juveniles tussle over a meal.

11 Jul – X7F mantles his meal whilst X4F tries to muscle in but X7F manages to finish it quickly. All three settle on the platform until X4F goes into the box at 2:35 and returns to the platform after 20 minutes. X6F and X7F fly out at 4:25 whilst X4F remains on the platform. X7F returns at 5:15 and immediately leaves with X4F. X4F is back at 5:45 carrying fresh Feral Pigeon prey, quickly followed by X6F. They tussle for the meal and X6F eventually gains control and flies out with it followed by X4F. X7F flies in at 5:55, checks the box and leaves. X4F is back at 6:00 for 15 minutes and again at 8:50 when she goes into the box for the shade and flies out at 9:05. X7F flies into the box at 10:10. X6F joins X7F at 10:30. They remain in the box until 12:00 when X6F moves to the platform. She is joined by X7F, and X4F flies in but leaves after ten minutes, returning at 12:20. The adult female attempts to land at 13:00 but she forced to abandon. X6F flies out at 13:25 as X4F lies on the platform and X7F remains in the box until joining its sibling at 14:20. X6F returns at 14:40 and all three remain on the platform. X7F flies out at 16:30 followed by X4F ten minutes later and X6F at 16:50. X4F is back at 17:10 and remains on the platform until 19:25, returning 15 minutes later. She flies off at 20:50 and returns an hour later. X7F arrives at 22:20, the two remaining until midnight.

12 Jul – X7F and X4F remain on the platform from the previous evening until X4F moves to the box at 1:35, then returns to the ledge at 3:10. X7F flies out at 4:10 and X4F ten minutes later. X4F returns briefly at 5:30 and is replaced by X6F who goes into the box on the return of X4F. X6F leaves at 5:45 and is soon followed by X4F. X7F is back at 7:50 and lies on the platform before flying off at 8:20. X7F returns at 9:55 and lies on the platform and is joined by X4F at 10:35. They fly out together at 13:55 but return after a few moments and resume their position. X6F is back at 16:15 whilst X4F flies out after 20 minutes quickly followed by X7F and X6F. X4F is back at 16:50 followed by X6F at 17:30 but they both quickly leave. X6F is soon back and is joined by X7F at 18:10 and X4F an hour later. X6F flies off at 19:15 and X7F 20 minutes later. X6F is back at 19:45 and X7F at 20:00. X4F and X7F fly off at 20:15 and X6F ten minutes later. X7F returns at 21:10 with X4F five minutes later but she leaves at 21:20. She is back briefly at 21:50 and X7F leaves soon after. All three siblings land together at 22:00 and remain until midnight.

13 Jul – X4F and X7F fly out together at 4:20 and X4F leaves ten minutes later. All three return at 4:40 and fly off between 4:55 and 5:05 but they all make multiple brief landings onto the platform. At 7:35, X4F flies in carrying fresh Stock Dove prey and goes into the box pursued by X6F who was on the platform. It mantles the meal and plucks and feeds until 7:55 when it drags the remains to the platform and X6F snatches the meal, and they feed together. X6F stashes the remains by a column at 8:15. They resume feeding after ten minutes. X6F flies off at 8:45 but X4F continues feeding until 9:05, then lies on the platform until moving into the box at 10:10. It returns to the platform at 10:50 and flies off at 11:30. X6F is back at 12:40 and is joined by X4F 15 minutes later. The female lands with part-eaten Feral Pigeon prey at 16:10 and the siblings initially share the meal with X6F taking control; X4F then stands back. They move to the platform at 17:10 until X4F flies off at 18:45. X6F leaves at 19:30 and returns at 20:40 and sits on her own until midnight.

14 Jul – X6F remains on the ledge until flying off at 4:30. She is back at 10:05 and goes into the box joined by X4F at 10:25 who immediately feeds on the stashed pigeon. After feeding, X4F joins X6F in the corner of the box at 10:55. They are joined by X7F at 11:20. The adult female tries to land at 11:55 but is forced off by X7F who takes a short flight. He flies off again at 12:05 returning to the box 15 minutes later and snuggles up with X4F. He moves to the platform with X6F at 12:50 and X4F joins them at 13:15. X4F flies out at 14:55. X6F feeds on scraps on the platform, then flies out with X7F at 15:05. X4F is back at 15:50 looking for food, then lies on the platform before flying off at 16:20. She returns after 15 minutes and leaves at 18:25, returning at 19:00. She is joined by X6F at 20:10 and flies off at 20:50. X6F leaves at 21:20. X4F is back at 21:45 and lies on the platform, joined by X6F at 21:55. X4F goes into the box at midnight.

16 Jul – the three juveniles remain on the platform until X4F goes into the box at 00:45. It rejoins its siblings at 4:15 and they all fly off together but quickly return. They are off again at 4:55. X4F is the first to returns at 5:30 until 6:15. She is back ten minutes later until 6:45, then back on the platform at 7:05 and is joined by X7F after five minutes and fly off together at 7:30. X6F returns at 7:50 and takes a short flight at 8:30 and again five minutes later then joined on the ledge by X7F. X6F leaves at 9:05 and X7F after ten minutes. X4F flies in after a few minutes. The adult male arrives with fresh Feral Pigeon prey at 9:30 and X4F grabs it from him. The male flies out and is replaced by the adult female but she does not stay long. X4F flies off with the remains at 10:00. X6F flies in a few moments later and lies on the platform. X4F is back at 10:20 and the two are joined by X7F at 10:40. The three lay together on the platform until 11:10 when the female arrives with pigeon remains that are snatched by X7F and takes it into the box. X4F and X6F already look well fed and do not try and steal the meal. X7F has finished feeding at 11:35 and flies out a few minutes later. He returns at 11:50 quickly followed by the female who drops off a fresh Feral Pigeon meal. The adult quickly leaves and X4F has the first feed, then stashes the remains by a column but its siblings are not particularly interested. The three lay on the platform until 13:55 when they all fly out. X4F returns with a Feral Pigeon meal at 14:05 and feeds until flying off with the remains after 15 minutes. She returns at 14:30 and leaves again at 15:45. She is back at 19:50, over four hours later. X6F joins her at 21:20 and grabs the stashed pigeon and feeds. She drags the meal towards X4F, and leaves lets her feed. X4F stashes the remains at 21:40 but X6F soon takes over until 22:15. X7F joins its siblings at 23:20 and they remain until midnight.

17 Jul – the three juveniles remain on the platform until 4:30 when X7F checks out the box. X6F and X7F fly out together at 4:40 and X4F five minutes later. X4F is back at 7:55 and feeds on stashed pigeon remains. The male arrives with fresh Feral Pigeon prey at 8:45 and is immediately followed by X7F who snatches the meal and feeds. X6F joins the group and watches from the ledge, then checks out the box at 9:00, and flies off at 9:05. X7F stashes the remains at 9:10 and sits on the ledge but X4F is not interested in feeding and goes into the box at 9:40. X6F returns at 10:05 and feeds on the stashed pigeon as X4F moves back to the ledge. The female lands at 10:10 with another fresh Feral Pigeon and takes it into the box. X4F is the first to feed on the meal, X7F then grabs a piece, and X6F gets given some by the female who flies off at 10:15. X4F drags the remains onto the platform at 10:35 and continues feeding for another ten minutes. X6F takes over until finishing at 11:20. The three rest up on the platform until X6F flies off at 11:30. The two remain until 13:00 when X7F flies off. X4F takes a short flight 25 minutes later, then flies off at 13:40. X6F is back at 14:30 until 14:55. X4F flies in at 15:05 until 15:50 but returns a few minutes later. X7F arrives at 16:15 and feeds on scraps until flying off at 16:50. X4F leaves ten minutes later. The female flies in at 17:10 followed by X4F who chases her into the box until it is fed on scraps for five minutes. The female leaves and the juvenile lies on the platform at 17:35. X6F returns at 18:55 and feeds on scraps until both juveniles fly off at 19:30. They return at 20:25 but X6F flies off after 15 minutes. X7F is back briefly at 21:05 and X6F is back at 21:55 and the two remain until midnight.

20 Jul – X4F lands at 4:05 and is joined by X7F at 4:50 but they both fly off a few minutes later. X6F lands at 6:45, then checks the box for scraps at 7:00 before flying out. X6F returns at 10:15 and is soon joined by X4F, both looking a bit rain bedraggled. They preen then fall asleep until 12:30 when X6F goes into the box out of the rain. They fly out together an hour later. The male arrives at 15:40 quickly followed by the female with fresh Feral Pigeon meal but there are no juveniles around and he leaves. She goes into the box and plucks the meal. X4F arrives at 16:00 and snatches the meal from the female who flies off. X6F lands ten minutes later and the two share the meal until X6F takes control after five minutes. X4F sits on the ledge watching, then picks at scraps. X6F finally allows its sibling the remains at 17:25 and moves to the ledge. X4F flies off at 18:00. X7F lands at 18:20 with X4F ten minutes later – A full house. X7F leaves at 19:40 and X4F a few minutes later. The female arrives at 19:50 without a meal and is chased off by X6F. X7F is back at 19:55 but X6F flies off a few minutes later and X7F leaves at 21:10. X4F is back at 21:55 and goes into the box until midnight.

22 Jul – X7F flies in at 00:45 and is joined by X4F at 4:40. X7F leaves 4:55 and X4F at 5:00. X6F arrives at 7:50 until 8:25. X4F is back for ten minutes at 9:35. X6F lands at 10:00 until 10:55. X4F is back at 12:20 for an hour and returns again at 13:55. She takes a short flight at 15:05 and leaves ten minutes later. X4F is back at 16:20 for five minutes. X7F arrives at 17:05 carrying very fresh Starling prey. X4F arrives a few minutes later with part-eaten Feral Pigeon and X6F lands a few minutes later. X7F flies out and knocks X6F from the ledge but both are soon back. X4F stashes the remains of its meal at 17:15 and lies on the platform. X7F has finished its meal at 17:40 and sits on the ledge opposite X6F then flies off at 18:05. X6F leaves at 18:25 and is quickly followed by X4F. X6F is back at 20:00 and picks at scraps on the platform. It is joined by X7F an hour later. X6F flies out at 21:40 followed soon after by X7F.

23 Jul – X4F arrives at 3:05 and lies on the platform until flying off at 6:00. It is replaced by X7F a few minutes later but he flies off at 5:10. X4F is back at 5:55, checks the box then sits on the ledge, and takes a short flight at 6:20. It is off again at 6:35 and returns at 7:05 carrying fresh Feral Pigeon prey. It drags the meal around the platform until it is joined by X7F at 7:10. X7F watches from the ledge as its sibling feeds. At 7:25, X7F joins in and feeds, taking control after ten minutes and X4F watches from the ledge. X7F stashes the remains at 7:50 and X4F flies out. X7F remains on the platform flying off at 8:40 and is soon replaced by X6F. It finds the stashed meal and feeds. X4F lands at 9:05 and watches its sibling before laying on the platform. X6F flies off at 9:30 and returns an hour later. X4F flies off at 11:05 as X6F lies on the platform and moves to the ledge two hours later, flying off at 13:25. X4F returns five minutes later and leaves at 15:05. X6F is back at 15:35 until 16:45. X6F lands briefly at 18:00. There is no activity thereafter.

24 Jul – X4F arrives with fresh Feral Pigeon prey at 7:10 followed by X6F. X4F plucks the meal as its sibling watches from the ledge. X6F joins in after ten minutes and the two feed together. X7F arrives at 7:30 and tries to take over but X6F is too strong but they soon feed together. They have finished feeding at 7:55 and settle on the platform. X7F leaves at 8:45 and X4F at 9:20. The adult female arrives at 9:30 picks up some scraps and goes into the box. She flies out at 9:50. X7F is back at 10:05 for ten minutes. X4F rejoins X6F at 12:15. X6F flies off at 14:30 and X4F at 15:15. There is no activity thereafter.

25 Jul – the adult male lands at 8:05 and scares a Woodpigeon from the box. He makes a scrape in the stones, then moves to the ledge, flying off at 8:30. He is back at 9:20 chasing off another Woodpigeon and leaves a few minutes later. X6F lands briefly at 10:25. X4F flies into the box at 11:40 and is joined by X7F at 12:25. They lay together on the platform and are joined by X6F at 12:50. X4F and X7F fly out at 13:35 as the female brings in part-eaten pigeon. X6F grabs it and takes it into the box pursued by the returning siblings. X4F and X6F tussle over the meal as X7F watches on. The two reluctantly share the meal until 13:45 when there is nothing left. They settle down and X7F picks at scraps until flying off at 14:40. X6F leaves at 15:20 and X4F remains until 17:25.

26 Jul – X4F flies in at 5:45 carrying very fresh Feral Pigeon prey. It plucks and feeds on its meal on the platform. It stashes the remains in the box at 6:15 and flies off ten minutes later. It is back at 6:45 and sits on the ledge. The female arrives with fresh Feral Pigeon at 7:05. X4F tries to grab the meal but the female holds on, so she feeds on the earlier stashed pigeon. The female plucks and feeds the new pigeon. X4F stashes the old pigeon remains and grabs the meal from the female who tries to grab the old pigeon but X4F takes it back but allows the new pigeon to be eaten by the female. X4F then tries to take that from her, and they swap meals again – a bit like a scene from a farce! X4F has finished feeding at 7:35 and moves to the ledge. The female continues feeding until 7:45 when X4F tries to grab it from her. The female flies out with her meal. X4F returns to the ledge but leaves at 7:55. X6F flies in at 13:10 and feeds on the stashed pigeon. X7F arrives with a part-eaten pigeon meal and X6F tries to snatch it despite still having a meal. X7F mantles the pigeon and the two concentrate on their own meals. X6F sits on the ledge with a full crop at 14:20 and X7F does likewise five minutes later. They go into the box together at 14:35 but soon return to the platform. X7F goes into the box at 16:20 and returns to the ledge after 20 minutes. He starts looking for scraps at 17:15 along with X6F. X7F leaves at 17:30 and X6F ten minutes later. X4F flies in at 18:15, checks for scraps and leaves at 19:20. X4F is back at 23:25 and remains in the box until midnight.

27 Jul – X4F moves to the platform at 3:35 and flies out but quickly returns and sits on the ledge. She is joined by X7F at 4:45 for ten minutes. X4F leaves at 5:00 and X6F lands briefly at 6:30. The three siblings arrive together at 7:30 and sit on the platform until 8:00 when X6F flies out, followed by X4F five minutes later. X6F is back at 8:20 until 8:55 whilst X7F remains until 10:10. The adult male arrives an hour later, goes into the box and makes scrapes in the stones. He is soon followed by the female and there is a bonding session – the first in the box since the juvenile fledged. He soon leaves but she remains in the box making her own scrape until 11:30 when she flies out. X6F returns at 19:05 and is joined by X7F five minutes later. X7F flies out at 19:55 whilst X6F goes into the box briefly at 20:00, returns to the ledge and flies off at 20:35. X4F is back at 20:55, checks out the box then sits on the platform before flying off at 21:25. X6F is back on the ledge at 21:40 and falls asleep until midnight.

27 July 2025 – Video: the pair are bonding in the box for the first time since the juveniles fledged.

28 Jul – X6F remains sleeping on the platform and is joined by X4F at 4:05. They fly off together at 4:30 but X6F is back at 5:40 until 6:00. X4F flies in a few minutes later with very fresh Feral Pigeon prey and plucks and feeds on its meal. It is joined by X6F at 6:45. The two share the meal – a real indication of the strong bond between them. X4F stashes the meal at 7:05 and flies out at 7:15 and X6F leaves a few moments later. X7F lands at 14:25 and sits on the ledge with a full crop until 16:45. X6F is back at 19:55 and finds some scraps on the platform to feed on. She then sits on the ledge at 20:20 and flies off after 20 minutes. X4F and X6F arrive together at 21:05 but X6F flies out a few minutes later and X4F leaves at 21:15. X4F is back at 21:20 and is soon joined by X6F and they search for scraps. X6F flies out at 21:30 whilst X4F goes into the box at 22:00 and remains until midnight.

29 Jul – WATCH DAY – X4F moves to the platform at 4:10 and flies 15 minutes later. She returns at 9:25 carrying fresh Feral Pigeon prey. She stashes the remains at 10:35, moves to the platform then ledge before leaving at 11:25. X6F flies in at 16:00 and finds the stashed meal and feeds on the platform. There is nothing left at 16:45 and so picks at scraps then sits on the ledge until flying off at 17:00. All three juveniles fly in at 19:15. They run around the box looking for food, then X6F and X7F fly out at 19:50 whilst X4F remains until 20:40. X4F flies in at 21:10 and looks for food, takes a short flight at 21:15 and again at 21:30 then goes into the box reamining until midnight. During the WATCH, the male and juveniles were seen regularly, with one juvenile on a cross for most of the morning and the male sitting in his favourite window. There were some good views of the juveniles and male flying around the square. The adult female flew onto a cross at 16:15.

30 Jul – X4F moves to the ledge at 3:35 and flies off at 5:25. She returns at 7:50 for 15 minutes. X6F arrives at 10:45 and is joined by X7F at 11:15. They lay down on the platform together and bond until X6F flies out at 11:45. X7F remains on the platform until leaving at 14:25. The male arrives carrying fresh Feral Pigeon at 15:00 and is followed by the female who snatches the meal from him and takes it into the box until flying out with it at 15:25. X7F is back at 17:40 carrying plucked Feral Pigeon and feeds on the platform. There is nothing left at 18:05 and she lies on the platform. She is joined by X6F until 19:45 when it flies off. X6F returns at 20:35 until they leave together at 21:00. X6F is back at 22:20 and remains on the platform until midnight.

31 Jul WATCH DAY – X6F remains on the platform, moves to the ledge at 1:25 and flies off at 5:10 then returns briefly at 5:45. The adult male lands at 8:20 quickly pursued by X6F. He leaves immediately and X6F lies on the platform until flying off at 9:50. X7F arrives at 11:25 and the adult female lands with plucked Feral Pigeon meal but before he has a chance to feed, X6F arrives to snatch it from his grip. X7F lies on the platform as X6F begins to feed. However, she soon drags the meal over and to him and feeds next to him. X7F watches then flies out at 11:40. X6F stashes the remains ten minutes later and lies on the platform. She is joined by both her siblings at 12:30. X4F notices the stashed meal and takes it into the box whilst X7F sits on the ledge next to X6F. X7F then checks out the box before returning to X6F. X4F has finished feeding at 12:50 and lies on the platform, then preens itself. X6F and X7F participate in a session of bonding and mutual preening. They all lay on the platform at 14:50. X7F flies out at 15:10 followed by X6F 15 minutes later and X4F at 15:50. A4F is back with part of a Feral Pigeon at 16:05 and feeds. X7F lands at 16:40 but X4F continues to feed until 17:10. X4F flies off at 17:20 and X7F follows five minutes later. The adult female lands at 18:00 and goes into the box for ten minutes feeding on scraps, and flies off at 18:20. X4F flies in at 22:15 and goes into the box at 22:45 remaining until midnight. During the WATCH period, the three juveniles were seen with the adults, taking food in flight and flying around calling loudly to be fed. At one point, two of the siblings were holding on to the same item of prey whilst flying around the spire – an incredible sight. It was good to meet so many friends, old and new.
